I Love Elephants

I had lunch at a great little Indian restaurant today where they had an awesome leather elephant statue.  I was super jealous.  It was just like these two

except huge!  But I do love those guys.  They were a great GW find, $5 bucks for both.  I found them at the same time that I found this lovely lady:

This is a neat thing.  I think it was painted on cork and it's beautiful.  And it was a buck.  Which is also beautiful.

Merry Merry Burberrry

To be honest, I'm not really a brand name or designer obsessed kind of girl.  But, there is something fun about finding really spendy things for cheapy cheap.  So here I present two of my coolest thrift finds ever!

100% Cashmere Vintage Burberry Scarf

 Amazing Vintage Burberry Cashmere Scarf from a small local thrift shop.  $1.99. 

Dayyyyyummm, this is a purdy scarf.  For $1.99.  No shit.  To put that into some perspective, the Target Home Brand table cloth I bought at the same time was $2.99.  Pretty table cloth, but yeah.

And here is my super dooper cute Burberry, coated canvas, Haymarket Check purse.  Goodwill, $2.99.

Goodwill Hunting...the night lights are not what they seem...

Being the bored SAHM that I am (and one with plenty of free time, now that the spring semester has ended) I have lots of time now for treasure hunting.  Here's some of what I picked up today!

 As my BFF, Pam pointed out, I have kind of a "Black Lodge" thing going in the living room.  So this owl nightlight works perfectly!  $2.99

Pier 1 patchwork sari floor cushion

 Huge Pier 1 floor cushion made from vintage saris.  New with tags.  I actually bought two of these to use as dog beds, since our dogs go through beds pretty quickly!  $.99 each

Neiman Marcus Statement Necklace

 This is a Panacea statement necklace from Neiman Marcus.  It was also new with tags.  I found it in a vase full of broken jewelry (one of my favorite things to buy!).  The vase was $.99 so this was probably like, five cents.  Good times.

Teensy tinesy little ring!  This is a Ross Simmons ring, sterling silver with little baguette diamonds.  It think it's a size three.  It's so tiny, it fits Ruby!  $1.99

Goodwill Find of the Day: January 22, 2014

Found this at the Goodwill for $5 today!  It's the Coach brand "Poppy Tartan Glam" tote and wristlet.  I didn't realize it was two separate pieces until I Googled them when I got home!  Here is a link to the bag from eBay:
